How to Calculate Payng Unit

A particular system of calculation of the paying unit, the base throught which can be estimated the freight charges in case of a not Full cargo ( i.e. full Container of full Truck,) have to be used for every kind of transport, Road, Sea, Air, Rail.

  • Sea Shipment

W/M Tariff: usually the freight is applied on the Weight calcolate in metric tons (of 1.000kos/each) or on the Measurement calculated in Cubic Meters, whatever the highest, on the favour of the shipping line.

W Tariff: some cases the freghit is calculated only based on the Weight.

LM Tariff: in the case of RO-RO seashipments some times a tariff based on the Linear Meter is used.

  • Air Shipment

The freight charge is calculated on the Weight (Kos), the maximum ratio between weight (kos) and measurment (CBM) off 1.000 kos : 6 CBM, if the volume of the cargo is higher the ratio 1 : 6 then the paying unit can be obtained dividing the volume by 6.

  • Road Transport

The freight charge is calculated on the Weight based on 100 Kos, the maximum ratio between weight (kos) and measurment (CBM) off 1.00 kos : 3 CBM; if the volume of the cargo is higher the ratio 1 : 3 then the paying unit can be obtained dividing the volume by 3.

  • Rail Transport

The freight charge is calculated on the Weight but can be different considering characteristic of the cargo.
